“God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them
reflecting our nature
So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea,
the birds in the air, the cattle,
And, yes, Earth itself,
and every animal that moves on the face of Earth.”
God created human beings;
he created them godlike,
Reflecting God’s nature.
He created them male and female.”
Genesis 1:26-27 (MSG)
The Holy Spirit has given us dynamic power to share the Good News of Jesus!
Join us for worship this morning at 10:55.
Today we look at the first story of creation told to declare that all that is and all that has been and all that will ever be comes from the hand of our God. The passage begins in many translations with the words, “When God began creating…” This wording points to the reality that God’s creative action did not end with the 7th day, rather the creative energy of God continues.
Today we will share in the Lord’s Supper, God’s creative and surprising way of reminding us of Jesus through the most common and simple things in our lives. Bread and wine, grain and fruit, or in the practice of my college classmates, pizza and coke, common elements made sacred as we remember Jesus’ life, Jesus’ death, Jesus’ resurrection, and Jesus’ commission. As you prepare for worship, please gather elements of your choice and remember Jesus and the Body of Christ as you do.
How to Connect this Week
Each week during this time of global crisis, we, as a congregation, will continue to gather spiritually in worship and prayer at 10:55 AM in our homes and with our families. This week, we will be presenting a worship service on Zoom that will be recorded and made available through our website.
Here are the directions:
Use this link on your PC, Mac, smart phone or tablet
or you can use your phone to call either of these numbers and use this identification number: 328-071-4972
+1 253 215 8782
+1 301 715 8592
If you connect by phone, there are 2 commands that will help. *6 will mute or unmute your phone and *9 will “raise you hand” so the host can call on you.
If you are unable to connect with this service, here is a recording of one of the most beautiful pieces of poetry about creation. The poem was written by James Weldon Johnson.
This is 5 minutes you will never regret giving to a video.
Here is a song that invites you to join in a time of meditation:

I hope this will offer you encouragement this week. I will reach out again through the week.
Remember, you can continue to support the work of the church by giving through our safe and secure giving portal at https://secure-q.net/donations/Hatboro/1435.
The needs of the church continue. In addition, the needs around us are growing – we have tripled our contribution to the local food pantry because the needs are overwhelming.
If you are available to help others who are in need, please contact us at the church or by email @ email@example.com. We are working on a database of helpers and needs that we will be able to address.
Have a blessed week,
