Church Action Plan and COVID-19
At 2:00 pm March 12, Governor Tom Wolf announced that ALL Montgomery County educational facilities, including private schools, charter schools, preschools, daycares, institutions of higher learning, etc. are closing effective midnight (Thursday, March 12, 2020).
In an abundance of caution and with the health of the people we love in mind, the church council has decided to suspend our services for the next 2 weeks (3/15/2020 and 3/22/2020). This includes Sunday Worship and Sunday School, the memorial services for Barb Mosher’s mother and for Carol Wade, the Celebration of Ministries scheduled for 4/18, and ALL group activities through the weeks.
While we are canceling our in-person gatherings, this does not mean we are going to cancel our relationships and connections.
So to facilitate our continued relationships, we will send out:
• a scripture to meditate on and the sermon that has been prepared
• some hymn lyrics
• a prayer that we might read together
• some announcements
• encouragement that we all try to “join” together in worship and prayer at 11am-12pm on Sundays?
